2006-12-03 [Forever Equine]: Well, actually, 28 pieces were stolen, I had the chick even take my name, well my initials TMM! She had all my older pieces that I had in Elfwood when I first started. She even claimed to take requests and have pieces in the "works" which were pieces I already had done. I keep all my sketchs and originals, unless they are a commission, and keep them on file. DA took forever in having her dealt with but after 2 months it was taken care of. And the the second time it was the same instance but with only one piece. I would consider the second time more of an copying offense since they didn't remove my watermark but they did change the character which belonged to a friend of mine. The 3rd was by an annoying person who thought it would be cute to alter my art and claim it as theirs.

Nothing infuriates me more than stealing someone else's work and saying they drew it. No talent bastards. Pardon my language. By the way [Forever Equine] I love your drawing!

If you on the other hand want to be famous and admired then you should be grateful that people share your art. But if you want a pay-up-or-you'
But of course we should spank people who claim that they made something they didn't make. For that Elftown is very helpful because it's almost impossible to to find any art that no one here recognize and know the source of.

And yes, that is very true of Elftown because last Christmas someone brought it to my attention that someone posted my entry to the contest, in their house, saying it was theirs. That's was taken care of quite quickly. My reguards to the guards.

I had the wings bigger & I shrunk them, b/c I thought the pegasus looked a bit off balance, but I guess a Pegasus would need sizable wings considering the size & weight of a horse! lol I do everything in a psd, so I can add the larger wings. I'll go add the larger wings.

I went to many sites, & you're lucky if you can get a description of more than "a winged horse"! I think everyone knows this much. Boy, whoever said everything can be found on the net? It does make sense that Pegasus would have golden mane, wings & hooves, b/c Medusa was a tall Gorgon with "golden hair & golden wings". Poseidon, the father, is also known as the god of horses or horse god, besides the god of the sea.

Since you're new, you probably don't have wiki privs, those allow you to upload an image to a wiki. Ask [Sunrose] or [Charybdis](or [Hedda], I guess) for those.

2008-03-23 [Artsieladie]: For many that understand how things work, this wouldn't be a problem, b/c they could just place the link in their comment on whichever page applicable. But as is so often the case, many need something more specific, more absolution. If there is not a place designated, they won't know what to do with it. Well, now there is. :P
2008-03-23 [Hedda]: Yes, adding information about where people could submit is always good. People tend to feel so helpless and don't realize that they can make a difference.

2009-02-23 [Artsieladie]: Hmm.... since this was the first creature session and the Elftown Creature Marathon wasn't all that well known at the time this contest ran, I would like to see another Pegasus Art competition. Any objections?
2009-02-23 [windowframe]: There are that many other creatures to get through, seems a bit of a waste to hold one that's already been done - especially when people can still submit their art and update the actual Pegasus page with it.

2009-02-23 [Artsieladie]: I see no reason why another can't be run. It doesn't mean we have to stop having sessions with the other creatures, just because we choose to run another Pegasus Art! Hardly wasteful! Submitting to a contest is much different than simply submitting work to a page where people feel they have little or no chance at getting recognition for it. Even if people don't win in a competition, the fact that their art is in a contest, gives their art more exposure than if it weren't.
